History of Football

American Football is a variation of rugby games from the U.K.The origin of professional football can be most directly linked back to 1892. In 1892 the first contract to play a professional football game was offered to William Heffelfinger. The first league of football was the Ohio League. The first championship game was held in 1919. The American Professional Football Association was created in 1920. 2 years after its creation, the American Professional Football Association changed its name to the National Football League. Later, the American Football League was formed. These two leagues then joined together. After joining, the ultimate game of professional football was created: The Super Bowl. The Super Bowl has become the most viewed TV event. It is usually shown on multiple TV channels.

Football Information

Mustang weight lifting program starts again on Monday. SAQ programs will begin again in January. One of my favorite memories from this past football season would of been beating West-Bend Mallard for the first time in school history in the first round of the 8-Man playoffs. Also a congratulations goes out to the Armstrong-Ringstead Mustangs on being the 8-Man Champions.
